When Brian and Sarah got married, the decided that the Victoria Car Share would be able to meet their transportation needs. The new couple held their wedding on Gabriola Island this summer and used the Mayfair Honda Civic for their all-purpose wedding preparation vehicle.

The Honda Civic served as a workhorse - hauling supplies, chauffeuring guests, and running errands. Of course, the lucky Mayfair vehicle was designated as the "wedding car" and led the caravan from the ceremony site to the reception.

We are always surprised at the new and innovative ways that our members are using the car share. From transporting bands and musical equipment, serving as an on-call vehicle for nurses, providing transportation for carpentry entrepreneurs, hauling trade show displays, delivering vegetables, or ferrying tourists - people are getting around the notion that car ownership is necessary. With this car share wedding, the bar has now been raised in terms of cool ways to use the Victoria Car Share fleet.
