The Victoria Car Share Co-operative has been providing transportation alternatives to the Greater Victoria Area since 1996 as a proud part of the rapidly-growing worldwide car sharing movement.
We have grown steadily as Victorians find that car sharing is a cost-effective way of adding to their transportation options. Our current fleet of 22 vehicles is shared by over 500 members. All operational costs are paid from vehicle usage revenues and administrative fees. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please see our volunteer site.
Vision
The Victoria Car Share Co-op will be a cornerstone of the sustainable transportation network in
the Greater Victoria area. Our diverse and environmentally friendly vehicle fleet will be
affordable and convenient to use. We will engage members, residents, businesses, organizations
and local governments to maximize the positive impact of car sharing. The Victoria Car Share
Co-op will become a recognized leader in the North American car sharing community.
Mission
The VCSC offers high quality and reliable car sharing services for residents, businesses and
organizations throughout Greater Victoria. Through a cooperative model, the organization offers
a practical, economical, and convenient alternative to private car ownership. With innovative
partnerships, member involvement, and sustainable community development, the organization
will achieve its vision.
